The evidence is quite clear. In theory you could argue that other countries have gun violence problems but by comparison to typical western/european countries the US indexes badly. https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2021/03/24/980838151/gun-violence-deaths-how-the-u-s-compares-to-the-rest-of-the-world It is worth noting that the overall murder rate in the US is also higher than like countries.
