Turtles's vision is not so sharp like humans. They can react anxious or aggressive to black color, cause it just blends into a featureless and they can't differentiate with accuracy what is an object, a prey, an opponent, or predator (like a black snake for instance). https://www.reptileninja.com/turtles/hate-black/
