Original Note:
The human body produces approximately 1.5 ounces of formaldehyde a day from metabolism and contains around >10μg/L of mercury in the blood, likely from diet. Formaldehyde can be broken down into carbon dioxide and exhaled, whilst mercury is excreted through the kidneys. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4724159/#:~:text=The%20mercury%20concentration%20in%20whole,to%20mercury%20vapor%20%5B10%5D. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8184665/#:~:text=The%20concentration%20of%20formaldehyde%20in,human%20blood%20and%20tissues%20by
