The 791K manufacturing jobs created total is missing important context. The January 2024 figure is 199K higher than the February 2020 peak from before COVID-19 forced massive layoffs. It’s more accurate to say 592K manufacturing jobs were recovered and 199K created. https://data.bls.gov/timeseries/CES3000000001
