Original Note:
This statement is partially correct. The stomach does use acid (gastric acid) to break down food, but it doesn't necessarily lead to inflammation. Inflammation is typically associated with an immune response to injury or infection, not the normal digestive process. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK279304/#:~:text=The%20hydrochloric%20acid%20in%20the,gastric%20juice%20also%20kills%20bacteria. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5805548/#:~:text=Inflammation%20is%20the%20immune%20system's,vital%20to%20health%20%5B3%5D.
