Original Note:
In economics, wage growth is not the same as *real* wage growth. Real wages (which are inflation-adjusted) have not kept up with price increases at the level of the 2000s or 2010s. Median real wage growth was positive in 2023 but below the pre-Biden trend line. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/graph/fredgraph.png?g=1gBoq https://jacobin.com/2023/12/real-wages-joe-biden-administration-economy https://www.bls.gov/news.release/realer.nr0.htm https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F7dd168f7-9042-4da4-b38b-0fc7371bf3c7_2886x1843.png
