The plant didn't fail, it was tripped because it got disconnected from the grid. The transmission lines failed. Now that Victoria only has two coal fired plants there was not enough inertia in the system and the grid began to destabilise, forcing load shedding. https://x.com/DEECA_Vic/status/1757307408958013696?s=20
