Apart from the misrepresentation of NATO's purpose (NATO is a DEFENCE alliance), the map shown is completely wrong. The GDR was not a member of NATO before 1990. Furthermore, the GDR, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria were members of the Warsaw Pact. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warsaw_Pact
