Original Note:

In practical usage, watt-hours, not mAh, determine how long a battery will last for a given load. mAh is generally used because voltage (and watt-hours) change with temperature, age, and other factors. However, a 10v 100mAh cell will last 2x as long as a 5v 100mAh cell. https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/24727/why-are-batteries-measured-in-ampere-hours-but-electricity-usage-measured-in-kil
