Original Note:

Gandhi arrived in Britain on 29 September 1888. Mary Ann Nichols and Annie Chapman, the first two of the 'canonical five' victims most confidently attributed to the Ripper, were already dead, having been found on 31 August 1888 and 8 September 1888. https://www5.open.ac.uk/research-projects/making-britain/content/mohandas-karamchand-gandhi https://www.britannica.com/biography/Jack-the-Ripper
