It has been accepted for some years that migrants contribute more to Britain's economy than they take. https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/2018/09/26/migrants-contribute-more-to-britain-than-they-take-and-will-carry-on-doing-so Rather than putting pressure on services, the additional taxes would help fund more of these.
