Per the Chief spokesman for IDF, it is thought a rocket-propelled grenade hit a tank near the buildings they were in, which the IDF had rigged with mines, most likely causing the explosion and deaths. It is potentially misleading for the BBC to omit this from their headline https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-68065903
