Original Note:
Rep Greene’s comment is misleading and incorrect. Nov 23 data shows 57% of workers’ wages grew annually, quicker than inflation since Nov 22. 3.5 years after onset of COVID-19 pandemic. This is above pre-pandemic avg. Disposable income also up MoM and YoY. https://home.treasury.gov/news/featured-stories/the-purchasing-power-of-american-households https://www.statista.com/chart/amp/27610/inflation-and-wage-growth-in-the-united-states/ https://www.americanprogress.org/article/workers-paychecks-are-growing-more-quickly-than-prices/#:~:text=Data%20from%20November%202023%20show,(2017–2019)%20average. https://ycharts.com/indicators/us_disposable_personal_income_per_capita#:~:text=Basic%20Info-,US%20Disposable%20Personal%20Income%20Per%20Capita%20is%20at%20a%20current,from%2057339.00%20one%20year%20ago. https://www.bea.gov/data/income-saving/disposable-personal-income
