This is a misinterpretation of the memo. Interior Health clarified: Rapid antigen tests (RAT) detect infections in more than 70-80% of patients with COVID and are a great tool. However, RAT is unable to test for flu or RSV, which is why PCR testing is required still. per: https://www.interiorhealth.ca/interior-health-statement-covid-19-testing
