Iran does not use the Gregorian calendar. The solar Hijri calendar is the official civil calendar in both Iran and Afghanistan. In Afghanistan, however, the Taliban have banned the usage of the solar Hijri in favour of the Lunar Hijri calendar since taking over in 2021. https://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/persian-calendar.html
