Original Note:
The number of 10 to 15 million people forcibly transported across the Atlantic does not merit the title of "largest movement of people". That title would belong to the Soviet Union, where, under Joseph Stalin about 22 million people were forcibly moved to gulags or to Siberia.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Excess_mortality_in_the_Soviet_Union_under_Joseph_Stalin#:~:text=Gulag,-Main%20article%3A%20Gulag&text=According%20to%20official%20Soviet%20estimates,areas%20of%20the%20Soviet%20Union.
