Original Note:

The car required a source of electrical power to run the electrolysis fuel cell. The water was split into hydrogen and oxygen. The energy source was electrical not the water. https://www.energy.gov/eere/fuelcells/hydrogen-fuel-basics#:~:text=Water%20can%20be%20separated%20into,creates%20hydrogen%20from%20water%20molecules.
