This is, in fact, a very bad example on being stubborn. The Venus Flytrap (Dionaea muscipula) closing process is triggered by pressure and it takes about 10 days to reopen. The plant is not conscious about what it is consuming and if it's harmful or not, in contrast to Humans https://www.britannica.com/plant/Venus-flytrap
