The proposed note claims that the Arabic name preceded the Roman one. That is impossible since Rome changed the name in the 2nd Cen, whereas Arabs arrived in the 7th Cen. Also no Arabic place with an 'f' sound in its Arabic names has a 'p' sound when rendered in other languages.
