The largest known lithium deposit is in Nevada, not Mexico. A deposit of lithium discovered in Mexico in 2019 was initially thought to be large, but further investigation showed it was not. 2023 report on worldwide lithium reserves shows that the USA has 7x as much as Mexico: https://pubs.usgs.gov/periodicals/mcs2023/mcs2023-lithium.pdf
