The note isn't correct about Israel. Same sex marriage is not illegal. Marriage in Israel must however be one of 15 recognized religions . At this time, none offer it but its not illegal and any could offer it. Online/out of country same sex marriages are recognized in Israel. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recognition_of_same-sex_unions_in_Israel
