Original Note:
Normally 5-8 "beds" can be care for by 1 nurse. https://www.sth.nhs.uk/clientfiles/File/Update%20on%20Nursing%20Workforce%20HR%20%20OD%2013%20June%202022.pdf In covid ward, thats reduced 4 beds per nurse. SO, with covid the number of beds is reduced by 25-50%. Then we have the massive increase in ICU beds where nursing is reduced to 1/2 beds per nurse. https://www.england.nhs.uk/coronavirus/wp-content/uploads/sites/52/2020/12/C0833_advice-on-acute-sector-workforce-models-during-COVID_with-apps_10dec.pdf
