The first piloted helicopter was invented by two French brothers in the Conecticut https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helicopter#Early_development Furthermore the use of flags here is questionable as, in some cases, the flags don't indicate if they correspond to the country in which it was invented, or the nationality of the inventor.
