Original Note:

A hollow moon would have less mass and in turn have less gravitational pull. This would effect tides and the shape of the earth. We can calculate the mass of the moon by its size and gravitational pull. It is solid. https://spacemath.gsfc.nasa.gov/moon/5Page19.pdf https://moon.nasa.gov/moon-in-motion/earth-and-tides/tides/
