Original Note:
The scattering caused by air molecules increases as the wavelength of light decreases. Violet and blue light have the shortest wavelengths and red light has the longest. Therefore, blue light is scattered more than red light which is why the sky appears blue during the day. https://www.rmg.co.uk/stories/topics/why-sky-blue#:~:text=The%20scattering%20caused%20by%20these,appears%20blue%20during%20the%20day.
