A genocide is "acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group". https://www.ohchr.org/en/instruments-mechanisms/instruments/convention-prevention-and-punishment-crime-genocide Israel is targeting Hamas in Gaza after a major terrorist attacks against israelis that leads to +1500 death and 200 hostages. This is not a genocide.
