There is a note linking the paper below suggesting blood can dry pink at certain hematocrit (Hct) levels. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4213377/ The level shown as "pink" in this paper is a prepared simulation of an abnormal and dangerously low Hct level (0.18).
