Original Note:

The Age is repeating the erroneous myth that the majority of Indigenous peoples in Australia live in remote communities. 74.5% live in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia. New South Wales had the largest Indigenous population (339,700), most living on the coast. https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/people/aboriginal-and-torres-strait-islander-peoples/estimates-aboriginal-and-torres-strait-islander-australians/latest-release#indigenous-regions
