Original Note:

Misleading times, Flintlock Smooth bore muskets had a rate of fire of 3-4 aimed shots per minute, and breach loading “black powder rifle” 8-10 a minute. Thus it wouldn’t be 2.5 hours, but only 50 min for 150 shots with a musket, and as little as 15 for a breach loader. https://gunmagwarehouse.com/blog/firearms-rate-of-fire-through-the-centuries/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_Bess https://www.battlefields.org/learn/articles/small-arms-revolution https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charleville_musket
