This statistic is based on a 4000% rise in *referrals* to the Tavistock clinic. https://committees.parliament.uk/writtenevidence/7947/html/ Most referrals are not trans-identifying kids, just gender nonconforming kids who never recieve trans related treatments. There's no evidence of such an increase in actual trans identification.
