The AEC has no power to physically remove signs that are more than 6 metres from the entrance of a polling place, even if they are coloured purple. The AEC requested the campaign to ensure that these signs are not placed near official signage. They agreed to comply. https://www.aec.gov.au/media/2023/10-03.htm
