Tatsächlich hat die Anktartis laut mehreren Studien der Nasa an Eis dazugewonnen. Die Behauptung dass ihr Eisfläche vielmal so groß wie Deutschland fehlt ist eine Fehldarstellung, da Fläche nicht gleich Masse.
