This is the cathedral in Cologne (Köln) which was only finished in 1880. The construction started in 1248, but stalled completely 1473-1842. It was only with modern building techniques (e.g. iron roof girders) that the construction of the roof and spires was finished. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cologne_Cathedral
