Original Note:
The US government does not give out credit scores to Americans, this is done by the three major credit reporting agencies. FICO is also calculated differently among the agencies hence why credit scores vary, the government only regulates, does not create or hand out. http://www.centolaw.com/creditreportinglawblog/2022/5/19/credit-scores-are-not-controlled-by-the-government#:~:text=Credit%20scores%20come%20from%20the,they%20are%20not%2C%20in%20fact. https://www.consumerfinance.gov/ask-cfpb/what-is-a-fico-score-en-1883/ https://www.usa.gov/credit-reports https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/finance/fico-score https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Credit_score_in_the_United_States
