Original Note:

Sound cannot travel in space and as such the ISS cannot be travelling faster than it. It would be more accurate to say that it is doing the equivalent of ~23 times the speed of sound in dry air at sea level at 0°C (741mph) or 17100 mph. https://www.wtamu.edu/~cbaird/sq/2013/02/14/does-sound-travel-faster-in-space/ http://www.isstracker.com https://www.britannica.com/science/speed-of-sound-physics
