The comparative sizes of microscopic particles in that graphic is correct. Smoke particles are between 2.5 and 10 µm 90% of COVID RNA is found in particles <4.5 µm https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/clim/35/13/JCLI-D-21-0754.1.xml Logically then, if a mask will not stop smoke particles, it will not stop the vast majority of viral aerosols.
