Original Note:

Devil's fingers (Clathrus archeri) is bright red and has a different morphology to the mushroom in the image. https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/wildlife-explorer/fungi/devils-fingers-fungus This mushroom is probably an immature anemone stinkhorn, though this is an unusual looking specimen. The photo was taken in Indonesia and comes from this blog post- https://orimath.blogspot.com/2008/03/strange-mushroom-zombie-hand.html
