The data is correct, interpretation is misleading. Flu is seasonal while covid is not and the two diseases have wildly different prevalence. To compare their lethality one needs to look at their case fatality rates (CFR) , that do not depend on the absolute number of cases. https://www.bmj.com/content/369/bmj.m1607/rr-1
