Facebook can't make a profit from withholding news content, that's illogical. This has nothing to do with wildfires and emergencies. Facebook stopped sharing news purely due to federal bill C-18. Repealing this bill would solve this issue immediately. https://about.fb.com/news/2023/06/changes-to-news-availability-on-our-platforms-in-canada/
