Incorrect. The shortest distance bet' two points on surface of Earth is a straight line. But of course that may mean tunneling through the Earth. If on surface, flying, then shortest distance is obviously a curve, or Geodesic path. This feed confusing a flat map with a globe. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geodesic
