Meta retaliated by blocking FB and Insta news in Canada https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-08-01/meta-begins-blocking-news-in-canada-in-response-to-new-law#xj4y7vzkg Canadians can still of course watch CNN and other channels and read their websites.
