This post is flamboyantly misleading. Canada's Online News Act requires social media to pay for content rather than lifting it for free. Meta retaliated by blocking FB and Insta news in Canada https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-08-01/meta-begins-blocking-news-in-canada-in-response-to-new-law#xj4y7vzkg Canadians can still of course watch CNN and other channels and read their websites.
