Original Note:
The sisters were 15 & 22 years old when admitted to the hospital. Burke's Peerage is a book, not a magazine. A cheque for £125 was sent to the hospital every year by the royal family. Which in 1941 would have been equivalent to £5,192. https://www.tatler.com/article/real-story-nerissa-and-katherine-bowes-lyon-the-queens-cousins-the-crown-season-4 https://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/0/neglected-hidden-away-registered-dead-tragic-true-story-queens/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nerissa_and_Katherine_Bowes-Lyon
