"More than 13 million new jobs" is missing important context. The July 2023 figure is 4M higher than the February 2020 peak of employment before COVID-19 forced shutdowns and layoffs. It’s more accurate to say over 9M jobs have been recovered and 4M created. https://data.bls.gov/timeseries/CES0000000001
