The tweet framing is slightly misleading: the way that bird appears blue is indeed unusual, it comes from "structural coloration" The difference between colour by pigments (the "usual way") and structural coloration is explained here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Structural_coloration It is questionable to call it "illusion"
