Human CO2 emissions are estimated to be more than 90 times greater than global volcanic carbon dioxide emissions. Pinatubo (1991) released CO2 on a scale similar to human output for only about 9 hours. However, human emissions of CO2 did not stop after 9 hours like pinatubo. http://www.climate.gov/news-features/climate-qa/which-emits-more-carbon-dioxide-volcanoes-or-human-activities
