The phrase 'young people' lacks some specificity however the chart here https://www.statista.com/statistics/1125118/death-rate-united-kingdom-uk-by-age/ clearly shows that regardless of your definition of 'young' people do die with appx 8 per 1,00 being under 1, and 9.5 per 1,000 in the under 25 group.
