The transgender athletes are male, not female. https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsstyleguide/g/#:~:text=A%20person%20born%20male%20who,reasons%20not%20to%20do%20so. It is not possible to ‘transition’ to the opposite sex either before or after puberty. It should read: Male transgender athletes will no longer be able to compete in women’s cycling races.
