Gov Newsom wrongfully claims this case will bring back segregation in schools. The 1954 supreme court case Brown v. Board of Education ruled segregating schools on the basis of race is unconstitutional. (https://www.archives.gov/milestone-documents/brown-v-board-of-education) The current case further prevents using race as a factor in admissions.
