Sigusch did not coin cisgender. The etymological roots of the term go back to 1914, when Ernst Burchard introduced the neologism cisvestitismus. From there the word evolved until graduate student Daba Defosse coined the term cisgender in 1994. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cisgender
